Turning our attention to the often-overlooked compositions of Black composers, we showcase the beautiful first Fantasy of Florence Price, alongside the evocative songs by Rosephanye Powell and Lena McLin and the lush Romantic piano pieces by Nathaniel Dett. The Edith String Quartet performs works by Jessie Montgomery as well as students at the Sonoma County Detention Center in a concert featuring groups from the Honors Chamber Music program at Juilliard.

The Edith String Quartet presents a recital program of Mozart’s String Quartet No. 19 in C major, K.465, Beethoven’s String Quartet No. 9 in C major, Op. 59 No. 3, as well as some featured works by students at the Sonoma County Detention Center.
